Changing the way in which sneakers are consumed, the Reebok First Pitch platform has prioritized the needs of consumers while decreasing waste. Following the platform’s release of a tennis-inspired Club C, the platform is set to unveil the Aztec OG “Quart de Mile”.
As iterated in the past, the First Pitch platform has given consumers a chance to voice their say on a variety of Reebok sneaker concepts. First, a sneaker idea is brought to life and is given a 30-day period to be funded. Each sneaker begins at $1 and will raise $1 with every purchase until it reaches the retail price of $90. When the sneaker is sold 500 times, it will be constructed and shipped in nine weeks. If the sneaker doesn’t hit the 500 mark, the concept is discarded.
Reebok’s latest sneaker concept honors former Reebok athlete and world-champion sprinter Marie-Jose Pèrec with the reintroduction of the archived Aztec. A modern iteration of the runner, this model features a plethora of details. The multi-layer is constructed using stucco premium and white suede, while a white and stucco layered midsole sits atop a translucent outsole. Paying homage to Pèrec’s achievements, a custom sock-liner highlights his competitive achievements and his homeland, Basse-Terre, Guadeloupe.
In hopes of inspiring others to go beyond their limits and persevere a “Quart de Mile”, the left heel embroidery reads “Ce qui ne vous tue pas”, which translates to “What does not kill us”, while the right heel embroidery reads “Vous rend plus fort”, which translates to “Makes us stronger”.

On the heels of its successful introductory launch with Classic Leather Bee Keeper on August 15, which was fully funded by consumers in just over 12 hours, Reebok’s industry-shifting First Pitch platform debuts its next pitch, the Club C ‘Vote’.
In honor of those who have fought before us and the new generation that continues the fight, the Club C ‘Vote’ is a symbol of our right to decide, to choose liberty, humanity and equality, and to separate right from wrong because no matter our background, race, political affiliation or belief system, it starts with US.
A total of 500 pairs must be sold before the shoes go into production. The starting price is $1 and goes up an additional $1 with each purchase until it reaches the retail price of $90. If 500 pairs of the shoes are not sold, then Reebok will not make them, the shoe is ditched and the brand goes back to the drawing board. If the shoes meet the goal, it will ship in about nine weeks.
For those that are interested in funding the Reebok Club C ‘Vote’, it starts on August 20th at 12 AM EST exclusively at FirstPitch.Reebok.com.

Reebok is ready to introduce their First Pitch program with the first launch being the Classic Leather ‘Bee Keeper’.
Reebok is celebrating National Honey Bee Day with The ‘Bee Keeper’ Classic Leather which will open on August 15th at 12AM EST at Firstpitch.Reebok.com and will stay active for 30 days. Only 500 pairs will be available and most be sold before the sneakers go into production. The starting price is $1 and goes up and additional $1 with each purchase until it reaches the retail price of $90.
If 500 pairs isn’t sold, then Reebok will not make the shoes. Reebok will only make the shoe if consumers want it. From here, the shoes will get ditched and another model/design will eventually become available. If the pair does reach its goal, then it will take about nine weeks to ship.
If the Classic Leather ‘Bee Keeper’ is made (500 pairs sold), Reebok will celebrate National Honey Bee Day which takes place on August 15th by donating $5,000 to HoneyLove which is a non-profit with he mission to protect honeybees by educating the communities and encouraging new urban beekeepers.

Reebok recently announced its latest platform that aims to reduce waste while prioritizing what the consumer wants to see from the historic brand. The newly launched First Pitch program is formed by creatives who cook up products that are then voted on by consumers. The shoe will start at $1 and will go up until its designated retail price as every commitment adds another dollar to the shoe.
The idea is simple. Before we even make a shoe, how ’bout you tell us if you like it first? If you do, we’ll make it in its full unique glory. And if you don’t? We scrap it. The decision is 100% yours.
We’ll release a product proposal for 30 days on the First Pitch platform. This is your chance to check out the shoe and commit if you’re into it. The shoe starts at $1 and will go up $1 with each commitment until it hits retail price.
Our goal is 500 pairs minimum. If we can’t reach that demand in 30 days, we ditch it and try again.
First Pitch kicks off with the Reebok Classic Leather “Bee Keeper” which opens on August 10. Take a look at the picture below, and learn more about the platform here.
