For the Fall/Winter 2020 season, Nike is revamping its lauded Air Max line up and bringing its Air innovation to new heights. The upcoming range will include five different Air Max units, including a women’s exclusive silhouette and a 1-to-1 replica of the Nike Air Max III.
First up is the Women’s exclusive Nike Air Max Up which features a new ramp Air unit (non-pressurized air that allows for a different design and can take on additional shapes). This new Air unit is tailor-made to a women’s footprint and is formed with soft Cushlon in the forefoot to help provide all-day comfort. Helping to elevate the overall look, the Air Unit is set in a jewelry-like setting. The Nike Air Max Up releases August 7 on Nike.com and the Nike app.
Next the Nike Air Max III is the closest replica to the original 1990 Nike Air Max yet and is the most authentic retro iteration to date. Equipped with its OG name, the upcoming Nike Air Max III features the original tooling with forefoot Nike Air unit and a tapered midsole in the toe. The pair will release in an eggplant women’s colorway and a laser blue men’s colorway. The Nike Air Max III releases this summer on SNKRS and SNEAKERS.
For a more retro-futurism take, the Nike Air Max 2090 has been upgraded with multiple colorway options. Look for the new colorways to arrive this July.
On the other hand, the Nike Air Max ZM950 pays homage to the Air Max 95 and features a gradient external welded TPI and a lightweight, breathable mesh upper. This option also sports a 270 Max Air unit, two visible forefoot Zoom Air units, and a heel 270 Max Air unit. The Nike Air Max ZM950 releases this summer.
Finally the Nike Air VaporMax 2020 Flyknit By You should resonate with those looking for a more sustainable option. Made from at least 50 percent recycled content by weight, the Nike Air VaporMax 2020 Flyknit allows for individual flair through its Nike By You customization. The Nike Air VaporMax 2020 Flyknit By You is available for customization August 3 via Nike.com and the Nike app.
