Last seen in 2018, nonnative tagged ASICS to produce a trail runner capable to handling any terrain. Packed with a functional tooling, a militaristic look, and GORE-TEX application, the GEL-YETI boot was produced. Finally receiving a release two years later, the silhouette is dropping in both a Sand and a Black colorway.
The GEL-YETI takes inspiration from various functional footwear pieces, both from the running and utilitarian world. A combat boot by construction, a GORE-TEX application ensures a weather-proof build, while ASICS’ proprietary foams ensure the silhouette’s comfortability. Premium sand/black suedes are featured throughout the upper, along with functional metallic lace holders found across the one-piece upper. Finishing off the minimal silhouette, ASICS branding is inscribed into the tongue.
The nonnative x ASICS GEL-YETI TOKYO is set for a December 19 release through a few select retailers. How do you feel about this collaboration? Let us know on social media.
