The Air Jordan 5 received a fair amount of love through the retro treatment in 2020. From the “Fire Red” to the “Alternate Grape” pair, the AJ5 momentum is going strong into 2021.
The Air Jordan 5 “Anthracite” is set to release in early 2021 as the predominantly dark colorway looks to add to the AJ5 archive. Black and grey details are found across the tongue and upper of the shoe.
What stands out on this pair compared to the rest of the pack of AJ5s is the woven knit material on the tongue and upper of the shoe. Generally, the Air Jordan 5 is dressed in suede or durabuck material when executing a black-based color, but this one hits different with the tightly-woven mesh.

A non-OG is making a return. In 2009, Jordan Brand dropped its “Raging Bull Pack” which included two iterations of the Air Jordan 5 as an homage to his Airness and his days with the Bulls.
The pack gave us one of the best non-original colorways with the Air Jordan 5 “Raging Bull” as the all-red upper made of premium suede and reflective detailing became an automatic must for collectors and Jordan diehards. If you missed out, good news is on the way.
The Air Jordan 5 “Raging Bull” is rumored to make a return in 2021 as the retro will stay true to the ’09 version. Images of the Grade School version have surfaced as the AJ5 is set to release in April 2021.

The Air Jordan 5 ‘Orange Blaze’ will launch during Fall 2020 and borrows the popular colorway from the ‘Shattered Backboard’ Air Jordan 1.
This Air Jordan 5 will come dressed in a Sail, Orange Blaze, Metallic Silver, and Black color combination. Currently, images have yet to leak. However, the pair will resemble the mock-up shown. Utilizing White leather across the base, netting covers the panels but will also take over the ankle. This is a first for the Jordan 5. Traditionally, it comes with either leather, nubuck, or suede (whichever the pair is constructed of).
Furthermore, the rest of this pair comes in true ‘Shattered Backboard’ color blocking. White runs across the base while Black adorns part of the midsole, tongue, and top eyelet area. Bringing the theme together, Total Orange takes over the midsole, liner, Jumpman on the tongue, and hinted on the toe cap. Lastly, Metallic Silver covers the tongue and shark teeth while a translucent rubber outsole finishes the look.
